Any person desiring to perform work on owned or leased
property must file an application and obtain the required
permit from the Building Department. This work must either
be performed by a licensed contractor or by an owner
builder specifically exempted from the state contractor
licensing laws.
When a complete permit application form, plans, and checklists
have been submitted, they will be reviewed and a permit
will be issued to the person listed as the permit applicant.
We will contact the applicant to advise them that the permit
is ready to be picked up, at which time the applicant must
come in person to sign the permit and pay the required permit
fees. Once the work is under way, the person to whom the
permit is issued must call to schedule the required inspections.
